Recovery of Precious Metals from Liquids
We are specialists in recovering precious metals dissolved in solutions. These can be acid, alkalis, aqueous or solvent based solutions.
We specialise in the recovery of metals from waste streams in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries where there are only 100 ppm of precious metals such as Platinum, Palladium or Rhodium in the solution.

Metal Recovery by Chemical Treatment & Leaching
We operate metal recovery processes on our customers’ and partners’ sites and on our own site here in Sheffield where we have fully enclosed acid picking and leaching lines and high-pressure wash stations.
For offsite work with have mobile vessels and fast tanks to enable us to create pickling and leaching processes local to the project, as you can see in the picture to the left.
Metal Recovery from Surface Coatings and Various Solids
To enable materials to be processed for recovery it is sometimes necessary to crush, grind, remove coatings, re-size or mill the starting material.
We have built up a vast experience and wealth of equipment for just this purpose.
Metal Recovery by Incineration or Thermal Pre-Treatment
Many materials that cannot be recovered through other means, can be recovered through thermal pre-treatment / incineration.
The thermal pre-treatment process produces a concentrated material, that can be sampled reliably before refining. This process is suitable for recovery from a very wide range of materials containing valuable metals.
